Benjamin Prengler has many titles: President of Student Council, President of the Class of 2015, professional drummer, and photojournalist. Through the years he has learned the values of honesty and trustworthiness (unusual traits for a future politician). He is a Junior in Lovejoy High School, and has attended the district since Kindergarten. He is interested in politics; so don’t ask him about anything political, because he’ll give you a long speech. Favorite TV shows include, House of Cards, Game of Thrones, and The Colbert Report. Favorite movies include Inglourious Basterds, Forrest Gump, and The Shawshank Redemption. Favorite food includes, beef brisket, beef ribs, beef brisket sandwich. Favorite drink is Dr. Pepper.

With construction on the B-Hall expansion, press box, STEM lab, and new dance studio, minor problems such as noise and parking has arose.

Construction on the West parking lot continues to extend the Fine Arts Wing of the school.

The planning area for the workers is in the East parking lot near the construction zone for the B-Wing extension.

The B-Hall is being extended and will contain a STEM Lab.

The construction companies remind their workers to be safe when on site.

The east wing of the school and east parking lot are being used for construction.

The district was able to pay for these additions as a result of the most recent Bond Package passed last May.

The front of the school is being worked on as well to add more parking spaces.

The Civil War ended 150 years ago, but the Confederate flag is still a hot topic. Recently some students on campus have been told they can no longer wear nor display the flag on school grounds. For junior Josh Shewmake, that has meant he can no longer fly the Confederate flag from the back of his truck.

Various storefronts in the Villages at Fairview are now vacant due to stores closing down.

CVS offers low cost flu shots to those with insurance. Although the flu shot doesn't cover all strands of the flu virus, it is highly recommended to get one.

Angela Tang became one of fourteen students to earn the National AP Scholar Award for receiving exceptional scores for her AP tests. She was the only junior to receive this award.

In the center of Watters Creek there are horse drawn carriages, a model sleigh, and a very large Christmas tree.

The bronze horses and creek are a popular spot for Homecoming and Prom pictures, but in the winter time the trees are lit up.

This tree sits in front of Watters Creek to celebrate the holiday season.
