The choir will host their annual Coffeehouse event for the community. It will be held in the commons where coffee will be available.

The choir will be hosting their annual event, CoffeeHouse on Saturday, Sept. 21 in the commons. There is no admission fee for the event. Coffee will be served, for which the proceeds will go toward the Lovejoy booster club.

“CoffeeHouse is always a great time, it’s not like a regular choir performance,” senior Luke Wild said. “Everybody has their own music that they [perform and] really care about.”

The students in the choir, a cappella group, and pop group will be performing different genres of music including jazz, pop, country, and Broadway classics.

“It is going to be fun, this year I’m singing with Luke Wild, I personally like CoffeeHouse more because there are less people, and it’s a very chill setting,” junior Tessa Blasko said.

Two of the songs the choir will be singing are song September by Earth, Wind, and Fire and Talk by Khalid.

“A cappella and our mixed pop group, [have] been working every day since the start of school to prepare for CoffeeHouse.” choir director Cathy Koziatek said.

Koziateck encourages all community members to attend, claiming that “there’s something for everyone in the audience.”

“All the student performers at Coffee House are not to be missed,” Koziatek said. “Each person and group brings their own unique personality and talent to their performance.”

Hannah Gonzalez, Graphics Editor
Mama Mia, here we go again. As she takes her last ride in the TRL classroom, Hannah Gonzalez is ready to end this year with a bang. Gonzalez serves as a Co-Graphics editor for the third year in a row and this is her fourth year on staff. When she’s not making killer graphics, you can most likely find Gonzalez on the volleyball court, at FCA meetings, in school or going for a joy ride in the Jeep that she named “Beep.” Although TRL is life, Gonzalez also enjoys going for late-night ice cream runs, watching early morning sunrises, going to church every Sunday morning and going on an occasional lake trip. To add to her list of accomplishments, Gonzalez has won three state championships and is looking for a fourth. With her happy planner by her side, Gonzalez is looking forward to kicking procrastination to the curb as she conquers her final year as a high school student.
