Where I get my daily dose of ice cream

Drink size choices available at the popular ice cream store Braum’s.

Some people like Sonic drinks. Some people like Skittles. For me, it’s ice cream. I eat ice cream at least once a day, twice if it’s been a good one. Some people call me obsessive, but I do what makes me happy, and eating ice cream makes me happy.

So with summer approaching here are three of the best nearby places to go and get some ice cream.

First on the list is Braum’s. It’s been around for a while and that’s the beauty of it. It’s wide selection of flavors guarantees everybody will find something tasty.  Along with the wide array of ice cream flavors, the milkshakes are superb and customers can chose any flavors to make a milkshake.  Think it can’t get any better?  Wrong! The prices for all the delicious ice creams are cheap.  All in all, Braum’s is a quality ice cream shop, and it’s well recommended.

Second on the list is Dairy Queen.  Just like Braum’s you can get a lot more than ice cream, but when it comes to Dairy Queen, Blizzards are king.  Soft-serve ice cream blended with your choice of treat, it’s hard to go wrong with a Blizzard.

The next place is probably know more for it’s burgers and fries than it’s ice cream.  But make no mistake, McDonald’s can meet your ice cream need; especially when time is at a premium.  First introduced in 1997, the McFlurry is similar to a Blizzard in that it is a soft-serve ice cream mixed with candy or other sweet treats.  Don’t want a McFlurry, their simple ice cream cones are splendid as well. Prices are also particularly low here.

So this summer, if you’re getting too hot or if its late at night and you have nothing to do, go get ice cream. These three places are some of the best in the area.

Mike and Ikes, puppies, jeeps, One Tree Hill, and ice cream...lots and lots of ice cream; it’s Katie. Her life pretty much consists of these things with the addition of a few others, and that’s how most people know her. Alongside these 5 fantastic things, she is also recognized by her long brown curly hair and the unfortunate height of a 5th grader. Her love of her hometown, back-to-back NBA Champion basketball team, the Heat, gets her in trouble because of her surrounding Mav fans, yet she still wears that championship t-shirt to school every once in awhile. This will be her 6th year in Newspaper and she is SOOOO excited...there is a fully loaded snack cabinet with a bag full of Mike and Ikes in it after all. :)
