Jeremiah’s has been scooping their tasty frozen treats since 1996. It was created by Jeremy Litwack.

On Sept. 19th, a great new addition to the Lucas area was made. Jeremiah’s Italian Ice is known for their decadent, yet refreshing treat with maximum flavor. They’ve been scooping their tasty frozen treats since 1996. Now, the Lucas area gets their opportunity to taste the iconic frozen desserts.

Jeremiah’s Italian Ice was created by Jeremy Litwack when he was a high school student selling Italian Ice in front of the Philadelphia Mint. The idea grew, and Litwack rented a warehouse in 1992 where he perfected his technique of combining fresh fruit, fruit puree, filtered water and sugar into a cold, refreshing treat.

Walking into Jeremiah’s you’ll instantly feel welcomed. The staff gives a warm greeting and starts by explaining how the menu works and how to customize your own Gelati. I got a small Gelati and was able to pick two flavors of Italian Ice, as well as the soft serve flavor of my choice to layer it with.

My order was a small Gelati with mango and watermelon Italian Ice layered with vanilla soft serve. The fruit flavored Italian Ice is extremely refreshing, and when mixed with the vanilla soft serve, it creates the perfect combination of fruity, sweet and creamy.

If it is your first time going to Jeremiah’s, make sure to download the app and make an account. In doing so, you are eligible for a free small treat of your choice. When you sign up, they will send you a reward you can redeem at the current visit or the next.

Jeremiah’s brings a new variety to the ice cream shops around Allen and Lucas. It’s perfect for an after dinner treat or a midday snack. No matter what kind of mood you are in, Jeremiah’s has unlimited flavor combinations for customers to enjoy. From my experience, I rate Jeremiah’s a 8.5/10, as I have not tried everything on the menu, but I will definitely be going back to try more!

Junior year is here, and Campbell Lester still isn’t sure whether she is ready or not. Nevertheless, she is beyond excited to enter her third year on staff as Editor-In-Chief with her fearless karaoke partner, Mia Reaugh. Lester’s summer was top tier; from scuba diving to running in 110 degree weather, it doesn’t get much better. If drowning in schoolwork or passing out from cross country doesn’t get to her first, you can most definitely find her at Cottonwood Creek Church, Smoothie King, Celebration Park or any place where her friends and family are. Her windows are usually down while driving, and there’s a good chance you’ll hear Zach Bryan, Chris Stapleton, Tyler Childers, Luke Combs or Morgan Wallen blasting. Lester is ready for another great year!
