On November 21, 2025 the Act 2 rendition of The Wicked Musical, Wicked For Good, hit theatres. Social media has been spectating about many of the songs and added scenes, and comparing the new movie to the first.

I recently went to view Wicked For Good and I immediately noticed the vibrant scenes and the effort the producers put into the movie. The movie was immediately exciting with the opening scene consisting of millions of props and details to observe and enjoy. 

As the movie continued, the speed slowed down as the storyline dove deeper into the two main characters Glinda and Elphaba´s friendship. These characters were played by the talented ¨Ariana Grande¨ and ¨Cynthia Erivo¨. The soundtrack was just as enjoyable as the first movie with the most powerful voices I have ever heard. Although the soundtrack was equally as enjoyable as the first movie’s soundtrack, the songs were less catchy and don’t seem to be trending as much as the first. Although most songs were carried on from the original soundtrack by Stephen Schwartz, a couple new songs such as ¨Girl in the Bubble¨ were added. While I did not hate these new additions I would have liked the movie to stay in the lines of the stage show.

With the second soundtrack being less known by the newer fans of the Wicked franchise, the producers did a great job of making the movie to one’s liking. I loved the first Wicked movie, and although I enjoyed the second less, without being compared to the first movie it was an incredible movie that brought to life the musical that has been a loved and treasured classic for years.
