“Regretting You”, the new and viral romantic drama, was released on October 24, 2025. This movie has gained popularity due to its starring actors Mason Thames and Mckenna Grace. Social media platforms like Tik Tok and Instagram are two of the many ways the movie has been advertised.

Family, forgiveness, love, and regret are shown all throughout the movie. Mckenna Grace, who plays Claire, portrayed her character to near perfection by showing deep emotions throughout the film. Mason Thames who has previously acted in more action packed, upbeat movies, was able to connect to Mckenna well because of their relationship off the set.

This movie connected with me as well alongside the many others who have watched it. The mother-daughter relationship was one in particular. Throughout the movie Claire rebelled against her mother’s rules, and her mother’s forgiveness portrayed love and their deep connection.

All actors in the movie were able to execute their roles well, but the actor that stood out to me was Allison Williams. She was able to illustrate all of the emotions associated with the character of Claire’s mother Jenny. Through the death of her sister and husband, and the rebellion of her daughter, she was able to connect to the movie in every way.

Out of 10, I would personally rate the movie an 8.5. Although the actors were amazing, the plot of the movie slowly progressed and didn’t really stand out to me. This movie has shown me how in the end, family connection and love towards one another is more important than proving your point and tearing each other apart.
