GoMAD coffeehouse on Saturday

The commons will open up this Saturday as seniors Anisha and AJ Srivastava host a goMAD coffee night. GoMAD (Go Make A Difference) is a charity the two seniors founded after visiting an orphanage in India where kids who were born with an HIV are provided medicines, food, housing, and education.   Different events will occur, including a Peace Tile Mural Project, where people can donate $2 to create part of a mural for the children suffering from disease, along with music performances by students that attend Allen and Lovejoy.  Snacks and beverages will be served from 6:00 to 9:30 p.m. and all proceeds will go to the orphanage.

“We thought a coffee night would be a fun way to raise money; where there is food and music, people will come, and we have a fun night planned,” AJ said.

When she isn’t busy attending school or church events, which take up most of her social life, she likes to have fun with her friends and family.
