CJ Vogel, Staff Reporter
Back for his second year on The Red Ledger, CJ Vogel will continue to provide social media sports coverage for all Lovejoy athletic events. CJ is currently a member of the varsity football and baseball teams for the Leopards. For both teams, CJ wears the number 23, which gets his name thrown in debates with Michael Jordan and LeBron James for who is greatest #23 in sports history. Having been a sports fan his whole life, CJ particularly follows the Texas Rangers, Dallas Cowboys, and Texas Longhorns. He is currently undecided where he will attend college but has plans for playing baseball at the collegiate level. For fun, CJ spends his free time playing pick-up games with friends, or out on the golf course. He isn’t quite the next Jordan Spieth or even a decent amateur for that matter but might just be the best at losing golf balls during a round. A big fan of ‘90s rap music, the movie ‘Straight Outta Compton’ only increased his interest of the big names from that historic era in music. You do not want to challenge CJ to a FIFA match or game of NCAA Football on xBox, for he is the self-proclaimed “best” at each game.
