Diners feel at home at the House Cafe

Diners+feel+at+home+at+the+House+Cafe

The House Cafe in Allen is the home away from home for breakfast lovers.  Located on Main Street across from the Lowery Freshman Center, the café is the ideal breakfast stop, serving breakfast all day, everyday.

At the first glimpse the café can looks like it has seen better days, but when seated, diners know they are at “home”.  Whether a person is wearing sweatpants or a business suit, nobody will feel out of place as the staff is welcoming and friendly.

With reasonably priced meals, The House Café is a great morning hangout.  There is rarely a wait for a table and once seated, food comes out fairly quickly.  The menu features a variety of selections.

The large plate size pancakes are made from scratch as well as the biscuits, with the french toast being a favorite that never disappoints.

Although most diners order “breakfast” throughout the day, lunch is also served as there is a wide selection of sandwiches and other entrées. The soups never fail to impress with a personal favorite the beef and vegetable.

The House Café is not an everyday fast food chain, it’s fresh hand made food is a difference diners can taste, but be warned, dinner is not on the menu as The House Cafe closes at 3 p.m. every day.

Darby Blaylock, Staff Reporter
Greetings children. My name is Darby Darton Blaylock. I am 17 years old. I have been apart of the newspaper staff for 6 years now. I enjoy it for the most part. I love to fish and be outside. I will not watch any Nicholas Sparks movies. Ever. I listen to older rock, alternative music, and a little country here and there. I play soccer for Andromeda FC, and for the school. I am scared of ladybugs because when I was 5 I swear one bit me. I am a morning person, and I was voted most likely to wear track-shorts.
