Fall play a hot topic among students

Following in the legacy of two previous on-campus productions, “Hot Topic” returns. The theatre department has put on this student-directed show every three years since the opening of the school in 2006 and the tradition continues with this year’s update: The Next Generation.
With auditions knocked out in the first three days of school, the cast is already hard at work in rehearsals with actors and directors collaborating to perfect the series of skits addressing themes such as drugs, peer pressure and bullying.
Hot Topic will have a two night run on Thursday, October 4, or Saturday, October 6 at 7:00 p.m. in the auditorium. Tickets will be $7 for adults and $5 for students, and will be available at the school store before the show opens.

Amy Bogucki is a senior and this is her second attempt at Newspaper Production. She enjoys singing, acting, and long walks on the beach. One of her biggest pet peeves is having assignments in which she has to describe herself. When she’s not at school, you can find her nowhere because she doesn’t want to talk to you. But if you did, she would probably be eating ice cream and watching something on Netflix. Though she has a proclivity to be sesquipedalian, she can usually tone it down unless she’s really tired or really angry. She is highly sorry that you wasted your time reading this.
