Sophomore Addy McCaffity reviews Starbucks seasonal fall items. These items have been available since Aug. 24.

This fall, Starbucks has stepped up their game with the fall foods and the season has felt very autumn, holiday, winter vibes! Let’s look at some of the best fall foods in their selection this year.

Starting off with my personal favorite, the Pumpkin Cream Cheese muffin. I am normally not a fan of cream cheese in my desserts, but this cream cheese has a huge exception. It is a perfect consistency, sweet, and isn’t overpowering to the pumpkin flavor. This brings me to my second point. Normally I hate pumpkin flavored treats, but honestly this muffin didn’t have too strong of a flavor. The cinnamon flavor took over the pumpkin and it tasted warm and gooey in my mouth. I highly recommend this muffin for breakfast, snack, or even an after dinner fall treat.

Next up is the Baked Apple Croissant. This one is not in my top three, but it was still pretty good. When I got this food it was not completely warmed up, and I feel like that would help get it to a higher rating. I am not the biggest apple fan, but something I did like about this treat was the outside. It was a perfect croissant, melted in my mouth, and it flaked off so nicely. The main bad thing about this was really just the taste of the apple filling to me. If you love apple delicacies this one’s for you!

The classic Pumpkin Loaf is next. This is available all year round, but it is still a fall flavored food available. This loaf is delicious and perfect for breakfast with your morning coffee. I used to love this the most, but now that the pumpkin muffin is out and it has the cream cheese addition, the loaf isn’t as good. Sometimes it’s dry, but most of the time I have a nice moist loaf that makes me crave more. I highly recommend this for a fall flavor treat unless you hate pumpkin. The flavor isn’t too strong, but it’s definitely there so be careful with your choice!

Lastly, we have the Owl Cake Pop. This one is simple. It’s a cute basic chocolate cake pop with a fun design. This one is perfect for kids, or you if you want a fun fall treat! It tastes delicious, and is cute all at once!

Overall these fall bakery foods from Starbucks are a hit! I could get behind all of them and I recommend you try them!

Overall rating: 8.5/10
