Meet the 2023 Dirty Drumline

Austin Stone

Senior Austin Stone holds a “Lovejoy Leopards” flag. Stone is apart of the school’s swim team. (Caroline Dolberry)

Austin Stone is a senior, and is involved in Swim. This is his first year with the group on the Dirty Drumline.

TRL: What is the purpose of the Dirty Drumline?

AS: The purpose is to get the crowds hyped up.

TRL: Why did you want to become a part of the Dirty Drumline?

AS: I did this because I wanted to do it with my buddy for my senior year.

TRL: Why is school spirit important to you?

AS: School spirit is important to me because it shows that you believe in what we’re doing.

What does the Dirty Drumline do?

AS: The Dirty Drumline is there to make noise and stay hyped.

TRL: What are you planning on bringing to the Dirty Drumline this year?

AS: I will bring common sense to the group so we don’t get kicked out.

TRL: How do you plan to bring more spirit to Lovejoy?

AS: I plan on bringing more spirit to Lovejoy by showing up to as many games as possible.

TRL: What are you most excited about being on the Dirty Drumline?

AS: I’m excited to hang out with the rest of the Dirty Drumline and have a good time.

 

Zane Evans

Zane Evans is a senior, and this is his first year on the Dirty Drumline. Evans is also the leader of the group.

TRL: What is the purpose of the Dirty Drumline?

ZE:The purpose of this is to get people and players hyped.

TRL: Why did you want to become a part of the Dirty Drumline?

ZE:I wanted to yell and scream and make memories with my buddies.

TRL: Why is school spirit important to you?

ZE: It is important to me because I think that the memories we make in highschool last.

What does the Dirty Drumline do?

ZE: We have fun and break rules.

TRL: What are you planning on bringing to the Dirty Drumline this year?

ZE: I’m planning on bringing a lasting impression on Lovejoy Drumline.

TRL: How do you plan to bring more spirit to Lovejoy?

ZE: I always bring spirit to Lovejoy.

TRL: What are you most excited about being on the Dirty Drumline?

ZE: I’m excited about making the best memories with all of my best bros.

 

Kade Stubbs 

Junior Kade Stubbs holds the “H” flag for LHS. Stubbs is apart of the Fishing and Track & Field teams at the school. (Caroline Dolberry)

Kade Stubbs is a junior at LHS, and is involved in many school activities. This is his first year on the Dirty Drumline.

KS: The purpose of this is to get students hyped for the school.

TRL: Why did you want to become a part of the Dirty Drumline?

KS: I wanted to hang out with my buddies and have fun.

TRL: Why is school spirit important to you?

KS: Because our team is good, and deserves to be cheered on by the students.

TRL: What does the Dirty Drumline do?

KS: We get students hyped and loud during pep rallies and games.

TRL: What are you planning on bringing to the Dirty Drumline this year?

KS: I plan on bringing the trash can and being loud.

TRL: How do you plan to bring more spirit to Lovejoy?

KS: I plan on leading the student section into being louder and more excited for Lovejoy.

TRL: What are you most excited about being on the Dirty Drumline?

KS: I’m most excited about helping hype up the students at the football games.

 

Tyler Wilson

Tyler Wilson is a sophomore at LHS, and is involved in several school organizations. This is his first year as a part of the Dirty Drumline.

Involved in: Orchestra and Jazz Band
Favorite College Team: Air Force

TRL: What is the purpose of the Dirty Drumline?

TW: To get the student section hyped and get them to cheer loud.

TRL: Why did you want to become a part of the Dirty Drumline?

TW: I think I’m a pretty loud person so I thought it would be a good fit for me.

TRL: Why is school spirit important to you?

TW: Why would I go to events if I didn’t want to support and cheer my school on?

What does the Dirty Drumline do?

TW: We get the student section hyped and excited for their team.

TRL: What are you planning on bringing to the Dirty Drumline this year?

TW: I hope to be the loudest and most hyped member of the DDL in the history of LOJO.

TRL: How do you plan to bring more spirit to Lovejoy?

TW: Be loud, go stupid, and have fun.

TRL: What are you most excited about being on the Dirty Drumline?

TW: To see my fellow peers have fun at school events.

 

Will Grazzioli

Will Grazzioli is a junior at LHS, and this is his first year on the Dirty Drumline. He is involved in many school activities and is excited to be on the DDL.

TRL: What is the purpose of the Dirty Drumline?

WG: To bring spirit and energy to the student section.

TRL: Why did you want to become a part of the Dirty Drumline?

WG: Because I’ve loved them since my freshman year and I just love yelling and cheering for
Lovejoy.

TRL: Why is school spirit important to you?

WG: School spirit is important to me because you’re supporting your friends and people that you
have been put in school while doing what they love, or just showing love for where you are.

What does the Dirty Drumline do?

WG: The Dirty Drumline beats the life out of trash cans and rallies the student section to show our spirit (and look good doing it in our overalls).

TRL: What are you planning on bringing to the Dirty Drumline this year?
WG: I plan on bringing pure energy, spirit, and chaos.

TRL: How do you plan to bring more spirit to Lovejoy?
WG: I plan on bringing more spirit by showing over our theme and screaming my heart out in praise of Lovejoy and hate for our opponent.

TRL: What are you most excited about being on the Dirty Drumline?
WG: I’m most excited for starting chants and bringing the whole student section together into one entity of spirit and love.

Ready for her first year on TRL staff, junior Zoe Reed is excited to start writing. Reed is often found on the soccer field scrimmaging with her club teammates, reading her new favorite book or waiting impatiently for the new Taylor Swift album. She loves to sing the new pieces in choir, especially Flight and Tshela Moya, and is counting down the days for region auditions. She is a big fan of her two dogs, Vader and Rex, and takes way too many pictures of them. She is excited for the TRL experience and can’t wait to see what the year brings.

Caroline Dolberry, Photo Editor
Senior Caroline Dolberry is excited for her third year on TRL and second year as Photo Editor. Dolberry enjoys running on the cross country team and high jumping on the track team. You will often find her at Celebration Park running with her team. Other than sports, Dolberry is involved in her church and in the NHS. She loves spending time with her friends, playing with her dog and definitely eating at Chipotle. She can't wait for her last year on The Red Ledger!
Brooklyn Jones
Brooklyn Jones, Staff Writer
Lyn Jones is a sophomore and this is her first year on staff at TRL. Jones loves receiving interesting story assignments, helping out with media/design, and getting to contribute her photography. She has a passion for activism and aspires to become a journalist one day. Outside of school, Jones enjoys spending time with her family, creating content for her website and social media accounts, and going out with her friends. She is very excited to be a part of the team and cannot wait to see what the next few years on staff will bring!
