Friday is an early release day for all district schools as the high school will be hosting Leopard Friday from 5:00-7:00 p.m.

Students will be attending 1st through 4th period as administrators believe this adjusted schedule makes the most sense.

“Since we have dual credit classes, the schedule if we interrupted it from 5-8 would disrupt greatly the dual credit classes that are off campus, so we really have no choice but to use 1-4 as the periods that we attend and then we have early release from there,” assistant principal Bruce Coachman said.  “We try to balance it out when we have a chance later in the year to get the 5-8 classes to meet as well.”

Although the school day will not officially end until 1:00 p.m., 4th period will end at 12:15 p.m. giving students an option they rarely have.

“When we release from 4th period the students may leave campus,” Coachman said.  “By law we have to have a lunch, and so from 12:15 to 1:00 we will have a lunch, but if people have transportation they may leave.”
