Who doesn’t like pizza? Pie 5 offers customers endless possibilities to put together the pie of their dreams. This pizza joint on Stacy is great way to gain some experience in the kitchen and have fun doing it as well.
Mowing Lawns:
Texas summers are notorious for sweltering heat and intense sun, which means plenty of families are looking for a couple of willing teenagers to take care of their lawns for them. You have to be willing to break a sweat and possibly develop a farmers tan, but the money families are willing to pay is surprising.
Palio’s:
Another pizzeria on the list, Palio’s has established itself in the Fairview/Allen area as a consistent place to go for a good pizza or pasta dish. So, if you’re ready for busy delivery schedules and busy dinner and lunch hours, Palio’s is your place. Rumor on the street is, the delivery responsibility will bring in some hefty tips.
Pluckers:
Another host/hostess opportunity in the area as Pluckers offers a wide variety of wings and other casual food for a dinner with friends. A job here would result in a fun work environment and a good amount of tips if you are interested in the server position.
YMCA:
Apply for a job at your local YMCA or youth center. A job like this will most likely allow for you to have some fun on the job while gaining experience with working with kids at the same time. However, be prepared to spend long hours doing possibly physically demanding activities.
Camp Counseling/Work Crew:
Young Life is an extremely popular Christian youth program in the area and they are well known in the area for their annual trip to Crooked Creek, Colorado for a week of worship and fun. It is also a great opportunity for those who are regulars at the camp to apply for a Work Crew position. Being a counselor at Young Life, or any camp of your choice for that matter would give you an opportunity to make memories and friends, as well as a good amount of money on the side.
Country Clubs/Golf Courses:
A job on the golf course is a fun outdoors job that allows you to enjoy your summer days while still at work. A job inside the country club will bring you a good amount of money and enjoyment as well; country club regulars pay a high price for good service.
Splitsville:
Splitsville is considered a high-end bowling experience that includes private lanes, full service waiting staff, bar, and pool table. If you’re 18 a job at the bar or as a waitress/waiter can bring in a nice amount of tips. However, working the front desk will bring you skills in management of time and large crowds.
Family Businesses:
A job at the family establishment is probably the easiest job to land. Plus, it might be a bit easier to schedule your work hours around your busy summer schedule. However, the one downside to this job is that your income won’t be as high as a job elsewhere. Remember, your family always expects you to help out.
