For the first time since the 2010 school year, the school’s start and end times will remain the same next year.
With the opening of the new intermediate school, Willow Springs Middle School, a 7th and 8th grade school, the district will need to make sure that buses are able to get students to and from all schools in a timely manner.
“With the grade level configuration changes and opening a new school we wanted to implement start and end times with the least amount of additional impact on our families as possible,” Superintendent Ted Moore said. “This can be accomplished with keeping all start and end times as they are currently and adding the intermediate school to begin 15 minutes prior to the elementary campuses.”

What does that mean in English? Don’t middle schoolers start 15 minutes after the high school students now and don’t the elementary school students start before high school?
Does this mean next years 7th and 8th graders are going to need to start school around 30-45 minutes earlier than this year? If so I hope they are ALL morning people. 30-45 minutes in the morning is not insignificant if my math is correct..
