Despite some recent rain, the cities of Lucas, Allen and Fairview have implemented advanced water restrictions. Water restriction signs can be seen throughout the area as Lucas, Allen and Fairview are all under Stage 3 water restrictions, allowing residents just two watering days per month, between the hours of 7:00 PM and 9:00 AM.
Residents must also refrain from watering impervious surfaces, such as sidewalks or driveways, and must not water more than once every two weeks.
In Stage 1 water restrictions, residents are encouraged to conserve water, but it is not mandatory to do so. Stage 2 is mandatory and allows residents to water their yards two times a week between 6:00 PM and 10:00 AM.
