Looking Deeper:
The Red Ledger: What is your role on the cheerleading team? What does your position mean?
Caroline Dobbs: I’m the spirit captain. I plan pep rallies for the year, which means I help come up with the theme, plan decorations, write the script and come up with the games.
TRL: How long have you held the title of spirit leader for the cheer squad?
CD: I was co captain my sophomore year, and I’ll be spirit captain for all of senior year.
TRL: How long have you been in A Capella?
CD: I’ve been in the group for 3 years.
TRL: What role do you play in the A Cappella group? Do you enjoy being a part of the group?
CD: I’m a soprano in A Cappella, and I’m the only three year member that is currently in the group. I love being in A Cappella. It’s really cool to be a part of this group since it was always a goal of mine to be in it in high school.
TRL: How do you manage the time between the two very time-consuming activities you are in?
CD: It’s a little stressful at times, but with the block scheduling this year, I’m able to be a little more flexible.
TRL: What are some of your favorite things to do outside of school?
CD: I love to watch movies with my family and go out and eat. I also work after school on some of my free days.
TRL: Were you interested in cheerleading and A Cappella before you join the teams for our school?
CD: Definitely. I’ve been cheering since the third grade and singing more seriously since the sixth. I joined the cheer squad, and my first pop group (limelight) in the seventh grade and have been in love with both of them ever since.
