The new addition to the Leopard skyline, the new press box, is set to debut Thursday, Sept. 24 for the freshman football game, just in time for the Homecoming game on Sept. 25. Here are some quick facts about the press box, and after you check out the pictures, stop by the press box during the freshman football game when community members can look around from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. during an “open house”.

Cost: $951,000.00
Construction work started around March 18t on the underground utilities and substantial completion was achieved September 10 (with 36 days of work lost due to rain).

While the press box was not completed for the first week’s home game, it will be ready to start hosting games this week.

Hallie Fischer, Editor-in-Chief
Hallie (ha-lee) Fischer is a super-excited, kinda-tall, slightly-sarcastic writer who is more than ready to start her fourth and final year on staff as the editor-in-chief of The Red Ledger. She has loved The Red Ledger ever since she was accidently put into newspaper in seventh grade, and after 12 years in the Lovejoy district, Hallie is very excited to be a #SE17IOR.
When Hallie graduates, she would like to attend Southern Methodist University to study business and finance to start her career. Other than stress-planning her future, Hallie enjoys working out, being outside, doing various adventurous activities, and just enjoying life as a teenager in Fairview, TX.
Although she dearly misses her 2015-2016 staff friends (Julia, CJ, & Kevin), Hallie is ready to kick butt alongside her right-hand wo(man) Mary Catherine (MC) Wells. The two are prepared to create art (writing and some drawings) to pump up 4th period newspaper and continue The Red Ledger legacy. Although they are separated by a mere 45 minutes, the three editor-in-chiefs of the greatest newspaper in the high school, Jillian, Caroline, and Hallie herself, are more than ready to make their 2016-2017 senior year one for the books.
Ian Raybon, Multimedia Editor
Ian Raybon figures that if Alicia Keys was a man, there would be a song apt enough to describe him because he is constantly on fire. Ian has tried to find a pig costume for Halloween, because his one true wish is to truly understand the bacon he takes so much time eating; turns out his hair works fine in that department as well. Ian’s life can generally be summed up by the song “In Da Club” by rapper 50 Cent, and he attributes his incredible intelligence to his mentor Mr. Higgins. He is not quite sure where he gets his incredible looks, but his parents get nervous every time he says the words “adopted” and “Michael Jackson’s son” in the same sentence. When Ian graduates, he expects a full ride scholarship to Cambridge where he will major in Thuganomics and minor in Womanizing.
Stu Mair, Photo Editor
Stu Mair has been taking pictures of things for years, but has only been on The Red Ledger’s staff for a year. Now the editor of the photo department, he ensures that noteworthy events receive coverage from the Red Ledger. Stu splits his time between several extracurriculars, which has severely adverse effects to his amount of sleep. He is passionate about many things, and photography is one of those things. When he isn’t standing on the sideline taking photos of various sporting events, he can be found reading textbooks or chilling by the pool. Stu is sad that his high school career and his time at the Red ledger is coming to an end, but he is also excited to head to college and turn over a new page in life.
