After waiting more than six year, fans of The Rolling Stones will hear never before heard material on the new album “GRRR!”. Set to be released November 12, their new single “Gloom and Doom” is now available on iTunes.
“I like the new song, and I think that the Rolling Stones are pretty okay,” freshman Jaden Jostrand said.
“Gloom and Doom” was released to coincide with the launch of the band’s new mobile phone app promoting “GRRR!”. After just two weeks, the song already has two million video views on YouTube.
“I so far like the album, but ‘Gloom and Doom’ isn’t really catchy though,” sophomore Hannah Welch said.
The app is free and has what many call beautiful 3D graphics. Fans can also preorder the album off of this app.
Some may call “The Rolling Stones” a classic rock band trying to make a comeback, but with the new iPhone app, it may be a case of a band that started in the 1960’s embracing technology that wasn’t available years ago.
