Return of fall flavors in Saxby’s

As the leaves begin to change color, the weather begins to cool down and the scarves and coats start to come out, the familiar flavors of Pumpkin Spice, Pumpkin Pie, Caramel Apple, and Chocolate Mint return to Saxby’s.

“This fall we have Pumpkin Spice Lattes, Pumpkin Pie Chai Tea Lattes, Caramel Apple Cider and the rest of our holiday drinks haven’t been revealed yet. More drinks will be revealed as we get closer to Thanksgiving,” Saxby’s employee and Lovejoy alumni Katherine Prindiville said.

So what do these delicious drinks taste like?

Pumpkin Spice Lattes are flavored with fresh nutmeg, ground cloves and brown sugar. They’re the perfect combination of sugar and warm spice. Pumpkin Chai Lattes are creamier and sweeter. Chai tea lovers will really enjoy this drink. For those who don’t like caffeine, Caramel Apple Cider is the perfect drink. It’s like a caramel covered apple in a drink. The indulgent chocolate mint flavors are also delicious. The rich flavor of chocolate is balanced out with a lighter flavor of mint.

Between now and the end of the year, different drinks will become more popular.

“At Thanksgiving time, the Pumpkin Pie Chai is super popular. Even when its not the  fall people ask for it,” Saxby’s manager Jenna Priestley said. “But towards the end of the fall and closer to the winter, the mint and chocolate drinks get more popular. We usually have white chocolate mint and dark chocolate mint flavors.”

Even the manager recommends the Pumpkin Pie Chai.

“Pumpkin pie chai is definitely my favorite. It’s like Thanksgiving in a drink.” said Priestley. “It’s pretty sweet though, so it’s definitely a once in a while treat.”

Whether the choice is Pumpkin Spice, Pumpkin Pie Chai or Chocolate mint, make sure to check out each of these new flavors. After all, no chilly fall day is complete without a warm fall flavored drink.
