The Red Ledger: How do you manage the struggle between school as well as football and basketball on a daily basis?
Reid Westervelt: I just make sure I’m managing my time. I try to set a schedule for myself to follow after school, so I don’t fall behind.
TRL: What is your favorite ritual to perform before or after a game?
RW: I like to listen to music and try to get locked in.
TRL: What is the largest amount of yards you’ve run in one game?
RW: In a 7 vs.7 game for the Dean Machine, I had 350 yards for the National Invitation Tournament championship.
TRL: Why do you enjoy football?
RW: Because it is fun to grind everyday with your friends and make big plays in the game.
TRL: What is your favorite football memory, present day or in the past?
RW: My favorite football memory is catching the game winning touchdown against Frisco Ready last year. We lost to them by a lot the year before, so it felt great to go out on their field and beat them.
