Teachers collaborate to create #AloneTogether video
Teachers collaborated to create a video called “LHS #AloneTogether” for students. Teachers posted the video on Youtube and social media today, April 14.
“From talking to my teacher friends, it was clear we wanted some way to visually come together for our students,” teacher Homa Lewis said. “I started looking for ways to do that and hit on this idea, however I had no idea how to do it. [Animation teacher] Ray Cooper took the idea and made it happen.”
The video featured 64 district staff members who chose to participate in creative ways at home. Instructional aide Van Tran featured her dog, calculus teacher Andrew Stallings incorporated a frisbee, and chemistry teacher Julia Sloan shared her hand sanitizer recipe.
“Mrs. Lewis came up with the idea as a fun way for staff to try to connect with students,” Principal Chris Mayfield said. “Mr. Cooper figured out how to do it and got all of us organized. I am so thankful for our teachers and how they care about LHS students.”
