Behind all the stress of the school year, the cast of “Little Shop of Horrors” seems to be pulling through each rehearsal with ease.
“We’re all extremely piled up to our faces in homework, applications and college auditions, but surprisingly when we rehearse Little Shop, it’s like the stress disappears,” senior Sydney Prendergast said.
Director Jessica Brewster has the cast working with choreographer Cindy Brugge, a former student.
“I’ve choreographed shows at Lovejoy before because Brewster asks me to occasionally, and I love to help out. Anything to make the high school’s show successful,” choreographer Cindy Brugge said. “The dances can be challenging to some of the kids in the production because while they’re doing the choreo, they still have to sing on the right pitch and remember their lyrics.”
The musical is two months away, but it’s closer than it seems.
“I’m expecting these two months to swing by really fast now that everyone is in the rehearsals and not in some other rehearsal for some other show,” sophomore Cassidy Fuller said. “It’s going to be great.”
