After two straight losses to District 10-5A rival Prosper, including a playoff seeding game, the Leopards won when it mattered most beating the Eagles in four sets 3-1. The Leopards leaped out to a 2-0 lead, before falling in the third set 25-17. However, the team was able to hold off Prosper in the fourth set winning 25-19 to win the Regional Championship and clinch a state tournament bid.

The Red Ledger’s Sports Editor Kevin Davis was able to catch up with head volleyball coach Jason Nicholson for the following postgame reaction.

The Leopards continue their quest for a sixth state championship Thursday in Garland.
