Freshman Colston Adamson advanced to the regional track meet to compete in high jump and long jump. Adamson met the high jump school record of 6’4″.

Colston Adamson: I play both football and track
TRL: Why did you become involved in those sports?
CA: I became involved in football because my dad played in high school and he wanted me to try and play too. My dad ran a college track and thought I would be pretty good.
TRL: What is your favorite memory from any of your sports?
CA: My favorite memory from this track season is placing first at the district meet in high jump.
TRL: During track season, what events did you compete in?
CA: This year I competed in the high jump, long jump, triple jump and the 400 meter race.
TRL: What does it mean to you to make it to the regional tournament?
CA: Attending regionals was a really fun experience to advance and just go compete with my teammates and see new competition.
TRL: What was it like to be a freshman at the regional tournament?
CA: It was really cool to advance to regionals as a freshman and be one of the only freshmen in the events I competed in.
TRL: What is your favorite aspect of track?
CA: My favorite thing about track is that I just get to go compete with myself and beat my own PRs every week.
TRL: Who/What inspires you in all of your sports?
CA: My dad inspires me because he was my coach in football growing up and he played football and track so i just wanted to follow his footstep.
TRL: Do you have any hopes of continuing any of your sports in the future? What are those hopes?
CA: In the future, I want to run track in college at Ole Miss or LSU.
