The annual Fine Arts Festival, showcasing performances as well as pieces from the orchestra, dance, band, choir, art, and theater departments, will be held at the high school on Saturday, Dec. 5.

“It’s an event that gives the community the chance to see what we’ve been working towards this semester,” theatre teacher John Davenport said.

Students K-12 will be participating in the festival.

“The Fine Arts Festival showcases all of the arts programs’ work, from elementary through high school, every student involved in fine arts contributes to the overall presentation,” Davenport said.

The festival also serves as an opportunity for students to collect service hours.

“All the performances are managed by students in our tech department,” Davenport said. “I have students working in the auditorium, gym, and commons area.”

The first two events, LHS Jazz & Percussion Ensembles and Lovejoy ES Choir, begin at 10 a.m.
