The theatre department’s first production of 2015 is a musical originally performed more than 70 years ago as the Rodgers and Hammerstein show Oklahoma! will be presented Jan. 22-24 at 7 p.m.

Set in western Indian territory just after the turn of the century, Oklahoma! introduces the love story between cowboy Curly McClain (played by senior Ben Meaders) and farm girl Laurey Williams (junior Elizabeth Jowers).

From solos to choreography, Oklahoma! is a show for the whole family and features a range of characters, such as star-crossed lovers Ado Annie (senior Noelle Brooks) and Will Parker (senior John Weichel), and the feisty but kind-hearted Aunt Eller (freshman Kaitlyn Nunn).

Tickets are $16 for adults and $12 for students, faculty, and seniors.
