Thought Bubble: Bad day go away

Julia Vastano, Assistant Editor

You woke up on the wrong side of the bed, you are having a bad hair day, and you hit the sleep button a few too many times on the alarm clock. Looks like you’re going to have a bad day right?

Wrong.

There are small things you can do to make everyday a good one, so don’t give up.

Be prepared and get your school stuff in order the night before. Mornings are crazy and no one wants to be up doing work before the sun rises. I promise it helps make the mornings go smoother

First thing: every morning when you wake up I encourage listing at least one thing you are grateful for that day. Suddenly you will realized how much meaning your life actually has. Taking advantage of things will be long past and you will be more grounded in the present.

Whenever you get to school, even if you’re running 20 minutes late, make sure to say good morning to everyone. It will help you enjoy the day and might even make you -shock- a morning person.

Smile at everyone, all the time because smiling makes people happy. If you make enough people happy, you will be too.

Talk to your friends, especially the funny ones. The company of another person is proven to enhance the quality of your time.

These are just a few things that can turn that frown upside down.

I practice some of these things on my own sometimes. It is always amazing to see how small actions can have such a huge impact on the day.
