With Halloween just around the corner, many people are looking for that extra scare. Here’s a look at some the haunted houses in the area.

 

  • Cutting Edge Haunted House – The award-winning haunted house is located in a 100-year-old meatpacking plant in Fort Worth’s Hell’s Half Acre. Open through November 3. Tickets are $30 for 11 and up, $25 for 10 and under, and speed passes are available for $50 and $45.

  • Dollz Haunted HouseFatal End in the West End and The Necroplex team up for the newest attraction, set in an abandoned doll shop and factory where the owner recently used deceased bodies to build his dolls. Open through October 31.  Tickets are available for $15.70 in advance, $24.87 for fast pass, and $18.49 at the door and $27.71 for a fast pass at the door.

  • Hangman’s House of Horrors – Celebrating its 25th year, Hangman’s House offers a 30 minute long hunt. Many of the profits are donated to local charities. Admission is $25 and fast passes are $35. Parking is free. Open through November 3.

  • Moxley Manor Haunted House –  One of DFW’s top rated haunted houses, a portion of the proceed goes to local charities. October 11 is a Scare for a Cure, benefiting the Susan G. Komen Foundation. Open through October 31.

  • Parker House – Based on the story of the Parker Mortuary house. Proceeds benefit The Heroes of Denton County and select Lewisville and Denton ISD booster clubs. General admission $17, fast pass $25. Open through November 3.

  • The Terrorplex – The Terrorplex consists of four haunted attractions and other dark amusements, Fiji Mermaid Sideshow, Midnight Manor, Infected, The Circus of the Dead, and Limbo, which is an outdoor maze. Also offers a festival area, music, psychic readers, the gore store and concessions. Tickets in advance are $23,  $33 for VIP.  At the door it’s $27 and $37 for VIP. Open through November 3.

  • Texas Scaregrounds – Includes Chaos Haunted House ($18), Havok’s Interactive Hayride ($5), and Panic’s Playground haunted festival with music, food, games and more. October tickets are $21. Bring canned goods for $3 discount. Free parking. Open rain or shine through October 31.

  • Thrillvania Thrill Park – Featured on America’s Scariest Haunted Attractions, the park includes six haunted attractions on its’ 50-acre grounds. Some of the  attractions include The Verdun Manor, Cassandra’s Labyrinth of Terror, Thorn Hall, Granny Lupus’ Seance Theatre, VooDoo Bayou, and Sam Hain’s Trail of Torment.  Park also includes food and drinks, vendors, costumed characters, and more. Tickets $30, $15 for kids 10 and under. Fast Passes are $50, $35 for kids 10 and under. Open through November 3.

  • Zombie Manor – Hollywood-set theme with special effects and interactive performers. Limited tickets sold due to the interaction of the attraction. Admission is $17 or $22 for fast pass. Open through October 31.

  • The Boneyard -Located in Arlington, The Boneyard is a combination of high-tech effects, movie-quality sets, and old-fashioned scares. Includes a Voodoo lounge and . Open through October 31.

  • Fright FestSix Flags Over Texas is redecorated for the Halloween festivities, featuring many haunted attractions and open rides. Open only on weekends through October 28.

  • The Haunted Trail of Terror – The Royse City haunt is a quarter-mile walk through the woods. Tickets priced at $13 for adults and $6 for kids 12 and under. Open through October 31.

  • Reindeer Manor Abusement Park – The grounds feature three haunted attractions, The Haunted House at Reindeer Manor ($8 to $17), 13th Street Morgue ($6 to $13), and Dungeon of Doom ($4 to $11). A free hayride is also featured, alongside live performances, vendors, food and drink, and more. Open through November 3, with October 21 and 28 being Holiday in the Dark; one glow stick, three haunted houses, total darkness.

  • Screams – This park features five major attractions, professional actors in costume, live bands, food and drink, games, rides, tarot card reading, climbing tower and karaoke. he attractions are Castle of Darkness, 3-D Pirates of Peril Point, The Arcane Asylum, Unkel Koy’s Klown Maze, and Ghoulish Graveyard. The Trail of Terror: Blizzard of Beasts is $5 extra. $24.99 for ages 6 and up, $39.99 for a fast pass. Open through October 28.

  • Slaughter House – This Deep Ellum spot’s 16,000 square feet have been redesigned. $18 in advance and $20 at the door. Open through November 1.

  • Tayman Graveyard – In addition to the Graveyard, this Midlothian park has Tayman Mines, Uncle Reggie’s Haunted Hay Ride, and Tayman Funeral Home, and two new attractions: Fappy the Clown’s Theatre of Wonders and Gravedigger’s Hollow. Adult admission ranges from $15-$27. Free parking. Open through October 30, with Lights Out Nights being October 29-30.
