The Fine Arts Department will be hosting the Annual Fine Arts Festival on campus Saturday from 9:00 a.m. – 9:30 p.m with each fine art hosting a showcase throughout the day.
Theatre:
1:00 p.m. – The LHS Theatre Department will be showing their annual production of “A Charlie Brown Christmas” in the Lecture Hall.
4:30 p.m. – The SCMS Theatre Department will be performing in the Lecture Hall.
“It’s a great story that is entertaining for kids and nostalgic for adults. It’s fun for the whole family,” John Davenport said.
Art:
9:00 a.m.- 6:00 p.m.- There will be Art Galleries displayed throughout the building, showing work by every art student K-12.
“People should come because they will be able to view the full range of artistic development in Lovejoy ISD students and marvel at the immense talent and hardwork in the visual arts program,” art teacher Jeff Seidel said.
Orchestra:
10:30 a.m. – The SCMS Orchestra will be performing a concert in the Auditorium.
Majestics and Studio Dance:
5:15 p.m. – The Majestics Dance Team will be performing a rehearsal of the show that they will be taking on their performance cruise in February, which is a condensed version of their annual spring revue, in the Auditorium.
11:45 a.m. – The Mini Majestics Dance Camp will be performing a Christmas show in the Performance Gym.
12:30 p.m. – The Studio Dance Program will be performing a Dance Revue in the Performance Gym.
“These young ladies have been working hard on their dance technique, choreography and showmanship. This gives them the opportunity to put it all together in a complete package,” assistant dance director Rachel Gilbreath said.
Band:
8:15 p.m. – The LHS Band will be performing a concert in the auditorium.
9:00 a.m. – The Jazz and Percussion will be performing, also in the auditorium.
Choir:
9:30 a.m. – The Puster Elementary Choir will be performing in the Performance Gym followed by the Lovejoy and then Hart Elementary Choirs.
11:00 a.m. – The Lovejoy Children’s Chorus will perform in the Performance Gym.
