There is a spunky little blonde taking the YouTube world by storm.  Actor, singer, model and rising YouTube star, freshman Ryan Allen is spreading his name in the entertainment world. This energetic 14 year old discussed with us his recent success on his YouTube channel, HelloxRyan.

The Red Ledger: When did you start your channel?

Allen: “My first channel start back in the summer of 2010 with my best friend Grant Tiff. We made weird videos that are now private due to embarrassment, but I made another one, which is my new one now called HelloXRyan, in early September.”

The Red Ledger: What made you want to start a YouTube channel?

Allen: “I saw other people doing it and I thought that it was really cool! I am also an actor and wanted to make little skits and put them somewhere for my family to see and then random people started watching my videos.”

The Red Ledger: Do you get your inspiration from somewhere or someone?

Allen: “Yes, one of my favorite “youtubers” is iJustine. She made me want to start my channel because her comedy was like literally the only clean [comedy] on the internet.”

The Red Ledger: What is some feedback you have been getting from viewers?

Allen: “I get a lot of feedback that are not public (emails and messages) and not a lot is “good” feedback. I don’t make videos for [the people who are rude]. I make them cause I like too.”

The Red Ledger: You have fans now! What’s that like?

Allen: “It’s creepy. My mom thinks that they are old men who “want me” but I DONT THINK SO, and it’s nice to see that someone appreciates the hard work that I put into things.”

The Red Ledger: Jessi Luce is one of your best friends and is seen in a couple of your videos. Will that be a regular thing?

Allen: “Not a regular thing. She has her own YouTube channel, and I am trying to get her some of my people to watch her too.”

The Red Ledger: What kind of videos are your favorite to post?

Allen: “I think I might have to say either rants (complaining) or skits. I love rants because somethings just happens in my life and I talk about it and I can be myself. I haven’t posted any skits yet because I am still writing them, but I like skits because I can tell a story and have my own ending and teach a life lesson at the end how I want.”

The Red Ledger: What’s it like to run a YouTube channel?

Allen: “I like seeing the feedback so much. It’s a 2 day process to make a video because I have to film it, which takes 1-2 hours and editing is the worst which takes 8 hours and a 2 hour upload time so I spread that out between 2 days.”

The Red Ledger: What videos get the best response?

Allen: “Shirtless”
