Daylan McCutchin is a Senior this year at Lovejoy High School and is a valuable player on the varsity football team. He is a four star athlete and had offers from Ohio State, University of Texas, University of Southern California, University of Florida, Tennessee, SMU, and Stanford. Daylan strives to be the best version of himself on and off the field and plans on using his skills to compete and lead his team to victory.

The Red Ledger: How long have you been playing football?
Daylan McCutchin: “I’ve been playing football since I was 4 years old.”
TRL: Why did you decide to commit to Florida State?
DM: “I committed to Florida State because of the coaching staff and basically Florida is my second home.”
TRL: How do you want to contribute to the team this season?
DM: “I want to contribute by being used however the coaches want me to be used on the field and catch passes and score touchdowns.”
TRL: How do you like having Coach Dodge as a new coach?
DM: “Well I love Coach Dodge, he’s a cool coach, he’s definitely an old head.”
TRL: What are your goals for this season?
DM: “My goal is to be offensive MVP and get 2000 plus yards.”
TRL: What do you see yourself accomplishing in 5-10 years?
DM: “I see myself going to the NFL and becoming a freshman All-American in college.”
TRL: Which strengths do you believe you have that make you a great athlete?
DM: “My confidence.”
TRL: What do you believe you can do as an individual to help your team this season?
DM: “As an individual, I can help my team by leading on and off the field.”

DM: “That I am able to go through adversity and hold others accountable.”
