Attention all fall-fanatics: if you’re looking for a pumpkin patch with a cozy, homey, and fun-filled environment, then Lola’s Local Market is the spot for you!
Lola’s Market, named after the owner’s adorable pet pig, is located just in front of the family’s farm in Melissa, TX. They opened in 2013 as a small, family-run farmers market and have evolved into an adventure-filled fall staple!
Lola’s Pumpkin Patch is open from mid-September to late October annually. The pumpkin patch features hundreds of pumpkins (of course), pumpkin painting, face painting, hay rides, a multitude of photo ops, a maze, and vendor booths. In addition to their seasonal activities, their collection of locally grown produce, housemade jams, and baked treats are available year round!
Need one more reason to check this spot out? The friendly animals will surely draw you in! Lola the pig roams around the patch greeting all her fans and hogging all the attention. Aside from Lola, there are many free range chickens offering all the entertainment you need!
Regular attendee MaryAnn Jones recalls her love for the patch, stating she loves “the down home feel and longtime staff. We know the owners by name,” MaryAnn says.
