Senior Jack Livingstone is a pitcher for the leopards varsity baseball team. He recently decommitted from Temple and verbally committed to Texas Tech University.

The Red Ledger: What drove you to start playing baseball?
Jack Livingstone: My dad was the one who got me started in baseball.
TRL: Who are some of your biggest supporters for baseball and life? Why?
JL: My biggest supporters are my parents and grandparents for sure. They push me to be my best everyday.
TRL: When did you realize you were going to get the chance to play D1 baseball?
JL: I realized I was going to play D1 when I was in eighth grade when I had D1 coaches reaching out to me.
TRL: What made you decide to decommit from Temple and commit to Texas Tech? Why?
JL: The original plan was to go to Temple and wait for a better D1 then Tech came along and gave me something I couldn’t pass up on.
TRL: How did it feel when you officially committed to Texas Tech? Why?
JL: It was stress taken off my shoulders when I committed to Tech because I was ready for the recruiting process to be over.
TRL: What are your goals for the future in your career? Why?
JL: My goal for the future is to be the best pitcher that goes through Texas Tech and then go on to pitch in the big leagues.
TRL: What have you done in your life to allow you to get the opportunity to play at Texas Tech? Why?
JL: I’ve worked my whole life for this, so it has just been a lot of early mornings and late nights at the field and in the weight room.
TRL: What do you hope to accomplish as you finish out your senior year? Why?
JL: I hope to finish the season out strong and give my team a chance to win every time I get on the mound and hopefully we can win state.
