I was in my dining room, and I was doing my homework on a regular Sunday [when I heard the news.] My dad said it, and I actually thought was a joke, because it was just really unexpected. He was a really great basketball player, and he was really good role model, especially because he really supported women’s basketball. He seemed like a really nice, down to earth person. Even though he had a lot of fame and success, he still seemed like he was just friendly and personable. I remember him as a great basketball player, and I’ll remember how sweet he was with his daughters and his family.
