Interview with players Carsen McFadden and Mallory Adamson

The Red Ledger: What are you expectations for the 2019 Powderpuff League game?

Carsen McFadden: To win. No defeats. Absolutely wreck them.

Mallory Adamson: Purely victory.

TRL: What have you done to prepare for this season?

MA: Since our loss of last year, we have bounced back, and I think we’ve practiced every day. We’ve watched film. We’re ready.

CM: We’ve have multiple practices. We’re preparing a lot. Unlike the other grades who haven’t prepared at all, we’re ready.

TRL: Do you foresee any potential threat in the freshman class as they’re your first game?

MA: There’s a good basketball player named Sammie, but I think there’s no competition at all.

CM: I personally don’t think the freshman are any competition. I think it’ll be an easy sweep. It’s going to be an easy game to get to the championship.

TRL: The senior class has seen two championship appearances in the last four years of the games. What makes you think that this year you’ll pull off a win?

MA: Ego wins.

CM: Ego always wins.

TRL: Can you explain the history of the “Ego Wins” franchise?

CM: We’ve always based ourselves off of having the determination to win. We’ve never thought about defeat and we’ve always just had the motto “Ego Wins” because that’s what we pride ourselves on.

TRL: Mallory, last year was your first year on the powderpuff team, and you seemed to be a star defensive player. What’s your plan on stopping the ball?

MA: The junior quarterback, she seems weak. She is scared, and she is scared of me. I will destroy her. *laughs*

TRL: On a scale from 1-10, how worried are you about the competition?

MA: Ego Wins.

CM: Not at all. Literally there’s no one else to compete with.

TRL: How much confidence do you have in your coaching staff?

MA: Oh, our coaching staff is awesome. I’ve never heard of anyone better. The junior coaches, who are they? Think about it. *laughs*

CM: Incredible.
