Interview with coaches Leighton Archer and Quinn McDermott

The Red Ledger: So, since there’s no one else to talk trash to that’s older than you, who’s your target?

Quinn McDermott: Definitely Luke Mayfield and Ralph Rucker. Luke’s hair is super bad. Ralph abuses his players. He has a really bad temper.

TRL: We’re in a championship drought right now. How do you feel about being in that same conversation this year?

Leighton Archer: We’ve been in the championship two years in a row, so it’s a pretty good feeling, but we just can’t deliver in close moments. This year it’s up to the girls.

QM: We’ve done our job. We recruited. We put together a team.

LA: We did everything. We made amazing plays. *laughs* The girls have done a really great job. We just have to win.

TRL: It seems that both coaches have taken a relaxed approach to coaching? Are you worried about any competition?

QM: We have no worries. Especially in the first game. The freshmen are so terrible. We don’t even need to coach. We’re just going to let the girls have fun.

LA: I have not seen one athletic freshman girl so no worries at all.

TRL: Is the championship going to be more hands on?

LA: Well it depends. Maybe we’ll lay back. We’ll see how it goes and if we have to, we will.

TRL: Do you practice?

QM: No. All the juniors have like four practices a week. They’re so scared. They don’t have the talent that we do.

TRL: Do you have any last comments?

LA: Hope Ledebur needs to watch out.

QM: We’ll see y’all after the game with some rings on our fingers.
