The Red Ledger: Did you ever attend a Lovejoy school?

Joel Treanor: I have not, but I have two boys who have. I had one who graduated last year who was a senior, and I had one that was a junior this year.

TRL: How long have you lived in the area?

JT: Almost seven years.

TRL: Do you have a website?

JT: I do not. I have a Facebook page. They are able to find it on Facebook — [my] phone number is listed — they can call me.

TRL: What’s your job?

JT: [I work in] real estate–real estate investment.

TRL: Why did you decide to run?

JT: I decided to run because I wanted to be a part of a team that sets goals, solves problems, and is open and is open and responsible.

TRL: What would you say are your main values?

JT: Trust, transparency, and accountability.

TRL: Did Ted Moore’s resignation affect your plans to run or your agenda at all?

JT: It only really reinforced what I wanted to do.

TRL: Why do you think you would be a good addition to the school board of trustees for the next three years?

JT: The reason I think I’d be a good addition is because in my job– negotiation is what I do. What I do is negotiate for better deals and solve problems.
