On The Spot: Government shutdown
On Dec. 22, 2018 the federal government initiated a partial government shutdown after standoffs in congress for the funding of a southern border wall promised by President Trump during his 2016 campaign. Nine federal departments have remained closed for over one month as Trump refuses to fund legislation until billions for the border wall are funded. Teachers and students share their opinions on the shutdown below.
