The boys soccer (6-2-2) team will host the North Forney Falcons (1-6-2) tonight at 7:30 p.m.

The Leopards will enter the game coming off a 1-1 tie to Wylie East last Friday.  Head coach Alex Duran said that he is looking for his team to capitalize on more offensive opportunities.

We are a team with the ability to create opportunities for goal,” Duran said. “Throughout the season the team and coaches have talked about finishing their opportunities and scoring down the stretch when they have the opportunity.”

The Leopards currently sit in second place in District 15-5A, placing them one game behind Mesquite Poteet and one game ahead of third place Wylie East. North Forney is currently in last place in district and is looking for its first district win.

Last season, the Leopards took both the games against North Forney.

“North Forney last year was a team that we easily beat,” junior Christian Kwon said. “This year they have improved a lot so we have to stay focused and not take them for granted.”

Once the Leopards play the Falcons tonight, they will face first place Mesquite Poteet on Friday.
