Confused: Where is The Jungle?

There has been a noticeable lack of support at the basketball games so far this season despite the free incentives, such as t-shirts and pizza, used to try to pack the gym. All of this leads us to one question that we cannot help but ask: Where is The Jungle?

We do realize basketball is not the only sport that doesn’t always get the recognition it deserves. But, unlike swimming or tennis, basketball games are more convenient for students to attend, with two home games at 7 p.m. every week during the season.

We also realize how basketball compares to a good old Texas high school football game. We just think that students should reciprocate this support and pay the hoopers a visit by coming out to a game or two. The energy The Jungle exudes is contagious and really boosts the team’s confidence. Ask any athlete or coach at Lovejoy, and they’ll tell you that having a student section there to support has a huge impact on the outcome of the game.
