The Red Ledger polled students and community members on their favorite local business. Polls were open for voting from Dec 4-11.

Best Coffee: Saxbys Coffee Allen

Saxbys Coffee opened in Allen in 2009 offering a fresh alternative to other coffee shops. This popular hang out for students serves coffee, smoothies and various pastries. Many of their drinks are all natural.

Best Restaurant: Liberty Burger

Liberty Burger just opened its Allen location nearly two years ago and is well known for its eco-friendly environment and its unique burger combinations such as the “Nooner”, with egg, bacon, and hash browns.

Best Shopping: Stonebriar Mall

Stonebriar Centre is a popular shopping mall in Frisco, Texas. It contains six major department store, a 24-screen movie theater, and a total of 165 tenants. 

Best Nail Salon: Island Nails

Island Nails is located on the corner of Angel Parkway and Stacy and consists of a tropical spa theme.
