Due to server weather, Special Olympics has been canceled for Friday night. All events will be taking place on Saturday. The district will be hosting the spring Special Olympics at Ron Poe Stadium and McKinney North High School  with more than 1,300 Special Olympian Athletes expected to compete.

Volunteers are still needed for both the athlete’s village and tennis, held at McKinney North, and for the track and field and soccer events that will be held at Ron Poe Stadium in McKinney. Set up will start at 7:30 AM for volunteers. Students looking for service hours or just wanting to volunteer can click here to sign up. Volunteers should bring comfortable clothes, closed toed shoes (no flip-flops), hats and sunglasses, sunscreen, water, money, and a photo ID.

Students can email Louise King, or visit B216 for more information.
