Haley Brown, Staff Reporter

Due to two cast members dropping out, The UIL OAP company for Waving Goodbye will be holding auditions after school Wednesday in the theatre room.

Audition packets and additional material will be available in Jessica Brewster’s room, F110, and anyone is welcome to audition regardless of grade level, experience, or whether or not they attended the original audition. Auditioners will be advised to prepare to audition for the role of Boggy, Boggy’s understudy, Perry’s understudy, or an alternate technician position.

Because of cast size, UIL regulations state only two new members will be accepted into the Waving Goodbye company. As of now, it is unclear which of the four possible positions will be filled.

It is recommended that auditioners should arrive with a headshot, resume, prepared audition material, and should anticipate a potential interview with the directors. All auditioners are required to audition with at least one character monologue, including those only interested in tech.

For additional information, speak to or contact director Jessica Brewster, technical director John Davenport, or stage manager Sonali Mehta.
