The Allen Book Festival will feature various well-known authors.

The first Allen Book Festival, sponsored by the Friends of Allen Public Library, will take place Saturday from 10 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. in the Civic Auditorium at the Allen Public Library. Sixteen different authors will be attending the event and presenting their books.

Jaye Wells, an urban fantasy author with books published worldwide and Amanda Thrasher, an author of  teen and children’s books are two of the headliners. The authors will be discussing their work and answering questions from to the public.

Other authors scheduled to appear are: Art Anthony, La Tangela, R. Flowers Rivera, James Gary Vineyard, Sutton L. Avery, L.A. Starks, David S. Alkek, Art Costello, Brannon Perkison, Allan C. Kimball, James Simpson, Jan Sikes, Troy James, and Calvin Spann.
