Marching band to UIL competition
Following up the Majestics performance at the homecoming football game was the Lovejoy Band’s performance of their contest show entitled “Blue.”

The football team will play Friday night. So will the band. But on Saturday, only one will be playing as the marching band travels to Clark Stadium in Plano for the UIL Marching Competition.
The band performs at 4:15 p.m. in what will be their biggest show of the year.
“It is our state equivalent of a mandated test, like an ap test,” band director Jeff Jahnke said. “We figure out where we are versus a set scale.”
