Round and round the coaching carousel continues with boys soccer the latest head coaching vacancy as Bryan Jennings is leaving the Leopards to take over at Kingwood High School near Houston.

“Kingwood is among the oldest soccer programs in Texas and I will be honored to take the helm as the previous coach is retiring after 25 years,” Jennings said. “The decision wasn’t easy as I hesitated several days before I committed.”

It was tough for his players as well.

“As a kid who had played under him since around 6th grade it sucks to see him leave,” sophomore Austin Van Wagoner. “There was a strong bond between him and the players, but I know he will do great things at his new location.”

While excited about his new opportunity, he leaves with a heavy heart.

“There were a lot of friendships and memories made here in Lovejoy and I will definitely have moments of struggle as I leave something behind that has been a big part of my life,” Jennings said. “I am proud of what the soccer program has done and am looking forward to hearing about all of the successes they will continue to achieve.  My experiences here have definitely prepared me for the new challenge.”
