Leopards may be set to name new volleyball coach

Jason Nicholson, Richardson J.J. Pearce High School’s varsity volleyball coach, will be Ryan Mitchell’s replacement according to a tweet sent by the J.J. Pearce Volleyball twitter account Monday night.

While Nicholson’s job at Pearce has been posted on the Richardson ISD employement page, The Red Ledger has not received official confirmation from either school or Lovejoy ISD officials.

“Nicholson has seventeen years of coaching experience with six of those at the high school level,” the J.J. Pearce Volleyball website states. “He has been a coach with J.J. Pearce for four years, the last two as head coach of the Varsity team.”

  • Qualified a team in the USAV Open division the last 10 years
  • 2011 – AAU 15 Open National Champions
  • 2011 – USA 15 Open Silver Medalist
  • 2010 – State Semi-Finalist
  • 2010 – USA 15 Open Bronze Medalist
  • 2009 – State Semi-Finalist
  • 2009 – USA 14 Open National Champion
