Soccer playoff action continues Friday night as both the boys and girls will be playing second round games.

The girls are coming off a 5-0 bounce back win against Dallas Bryan Adams,

“It was good for us because we finished the regular season with a loss,” head soccer coach Jeff Kear said. “So to come back and get a win in the first playoff game helped change our mentality about the process, reminded us that we’re actually pretty good. We made a tactical change for the game that payed off so that was energizing as well. We certainly need motivation to do well, because if we make it to the third round we can have a chance to get a little revenge on Wylie East.”

The boys had a more challenging contest beating Dallas Conrad 2-1.

“We plan on going out there and remaining 11 strong on the field,” head boys soccer coach Bryan Jennings said. “We were pretty wound up on Tuesday and it took us a while to settle down. This time we got the nerves out and are looking to continue this run. We have been pretty consistent all year and will look to approach this game much in the same way we have this season. Look at the opponent now and not the next one.”
