Swimmers and wrestlers off to state competition

The Leopard wrestling team has one wrestler competing in the state tournament Feb. 14-15 with another listed as an alternate. Senior Camdon Droge is going for a title in the 170 lb. weight division while sophomore Tom Elvin (pictured above) is an alternate in the 285 lb. division.

Several Leopard athletes will be going for state championships in the next few weeks as both the wresting and swim team have individuals that qualified for state. In wrestling, senior Camdon Droge will try to bring home a championship as he takes part in the State Meet Feb. 14-15 in Garland. Hear his thoughts on this week’s meet in the following SoundCloud:

The swim team fared even better as the school is sending a record five swimmers to the UIL State Championship Meet in Austin Feb. 21-22. The swimmers that will be competing at State are:
